QUESTIONS

  • Yes. Our Retro fit range (including the R10 and R6) is designed to fit directly into most existing pool light niches — Pentair®, Jandy®, Hayward®, and other common housings — without the need for additional construction.

  • All of our pool light replacements are considered extra safe low voltage at 12V, meeting U.S. building codes. To keep them to this standard, they also require a transformer, like our LVX series, but they’re compatible with other major brands' too. View LVX Series

  • Yes. Spa Electrics lighting is compatible with all major automation brands. This includes Pentair IntelliBrite™, Jandy Zodiak®, and Hayward ColorLogic® modes.

  • Installation is simple:

    • Remove the old light.

    • Pull out enough existing cable for the new light.

    • Connect the supplied plug kit or waterproof join (depending on model).

    • Mount the new Retro fit light into the existing niche.

    • In most cases, the existing cable does not need to be replaced. Replacement is only required if the wire is damaged or not up to electrical code.

  • The Retro fit range is UL-676 Listed for underwater pool and spa lighting.

    Spa Electrics connection kits must be made out of the water – connections cannot be performed underwater. Once installed, the fixture is fully sealed for submerged operation.

  • Spa Electrics LEDs are engineered for high efficiency and exceptionally bright, even illumination, and output varies by model:

    • Retro R10 (LED): Approx. 45W delivering up to 1,300 lumens.

    • Retro R6 (LED): Approx. 15W delivering up to 1,000 lumens.

  • Yes. All Spa Electrics lights are suitable for freshwater and standard residential/commercial saltwater pools. They are built with corrosion-resistant materials designed to handle typical pool-grade salinity.

    However, they are not rated for use in seawater or ocean-exposed environments.

  • Available in:

    • Multi-Color / RGBW

    • Cool White (approx. 4000K)

    • Warm White (approx. 3000K)

    Our RGBW lights match the color sequences of major automation systems, allowing seamless operation using existing controllers.

  • Spa Electrics LED technology typically delivers 50,000+ hours of service life, which is approximately 5.5 years worth.

    Plus, the Retro fit range comes with a three-year manufacturer's warranty when installed with Spa Electrics components, adhering to product guidelines.
